Has anyone received the $8,000 first time home buyer tax credit yet? I know someone who has waited for three months.
Local farmers are waiting for disaster payments from USDA for crops lost by drought in 2008! This is the government who will be in charge of your heart condition or cancer treatment. Good luck.

The economy won’t recover until: The Gov’t stops the spending, we shrink the Gov’t, taxes increase.
That’s now you get out of a recession. Anyone who’s taken MarcoEcon theory will tell you that.

The MSM is a joke that stopped being funny after Nov '08. I know there are people on FR who have been following things a lot longer than me, but I never remember the media or any pol actually crowing and saying we're in a recovery because the rate of job loss slowed. That's like saying the ship is taking on water but not as fast, well hell if the big compartments are underwater already of course the rate of increase will slow.
I can remember Reagan, things were bad in the early 80s but you saw the employment number, not job losses but actual people getting jobs, ticking up. Yet not once did I hear the media or any pundent say things were improving when they actually were.
