HARTFORD, Conn. — Connecticut Attorney General Richard Blumenthal says he will seek to succeed fellow Democrat Christopher Dodd in the U.S. Senate.

Blumenthal tells The Associated Press that he will announce his candidacy at noon Wednesday at Democratic headquarters in Hartford.

Thanks for this thread, GOPsterinMA, and for the pings, raybbr and onyx.

FReepers... check out two GREAT posts by maggief re: Slimy Dodd supporter Richard Blumenthal: #41 and #48 in particular.

This race is significantly changed, though. Recent polls (ie Quinnipiac) show 'RAT Dick Blumenthal with a 71% approval rating by CT residents. We need to find a way to DUMP Blumenthal in November 2010 as well...

Blumenthal was one of a bunch of Attorneys General that petitioned the Supreme Court to make carbon dioxide a pollutant, IIRC. SCOTUS made that idiotic decision. EPA made its endangerment finding last month. They are going to court. Fraudulent data will be discovered in court. When? I don't know. But, then there's Climategate and another mean winter.
