So this statement by Steele doesn't surprise me - it's the classic lowering expectations angle, and keeping the base angry and excited. That still doesn't hold my disdain for Steele, however. He is a weak chairman and the fact that he's releasing a book when he should be out there promoting conservative policies and candidates tells me he's just looking out for numero uno.
All the while all conservatives I know are donating ONLY directly to candidates and causes, and zilch to Steele-et-al. Not when he finds fit to send a $mil to Scuzzy, and peanuts to Scott Brown.
Republicans wanted to jump on the minority bandwagon.
Absolutely. If Ronnie were the chariman now, do you think he would talk about losing or winning?
More and more, I’m thinking the GOP is playing at being inept and letting the grassroots do the heavy lifting, and hoping they get back in their good graces by default.

They want to play center. They will infinitely compromise, and tell the left how much better it is that they stand between us and policy changes.
