The Depression years had very little crime.That is correect, which makes the Cloward and Ohlin approach even more mendacious. They knew it all along.
Criminologists are split over this, as with so many politicized issues. Most adhere to the "society's to blame" theory for ideological reasons.

The problems in the industrial midwest generally dont involve illegals.The illegal alien problems are not confined to the southwest.
