“The entity against which this warning is sounded, the one that the Tea Partiers fear will subvert the purity and autonomy of their movement, is the Republican Party.”
The GOP should NOT be allowed to subvert the Tea Party.
The TEA PARTY should infiltrate and subvert the GOP.

How many infiltrations and subvertings is the GOP supposed to undergo at one time?
We have evangelicals, Ron Paulies, RINO’s, and now Tea Partiers too? All wanting to subvert the GOP?
The GOP has to change, that’s for sure, but are we ready to rip it apart by all those who desire to “subvert it?”
I agree, the GOP should not take over the Tea Party, but I can see it working together, provided the GOP gets the message to wake up.

I agree - and I’m an officer in the local GOP. Parties are good for running candidates and other things that group affiliation brings. Beyond that is the citizen domain and Tea Party/912 groups work in that arena better.

Even better - the Tea Partiers should infiltrate both the GOP AND the Democrats. Think of how much progress we could make if we got conservatives to run as Democrats, both locally and nationally. Spout the party line while running for office, and then vote your conscience. That's what the commies did to the Democrats, and what they're doing to the GOP now.
