I was a Chevy man from way back but switched for Ford with the first Explorer in the 1980s when we lived in MN. No matter the amount of snow, that truck would go.
We had one with the Firestone tires that caused all the fuss. Firestone sent us a letter saying they wanted the tires off and would pay for replacements of any brand. I bought five Michelins and got a check from Mr. Ito for the full amount. I dropped off the used tires at the Firestone store and the manager took out a large electric drill with a one inch bit and made sure they could never be used again. He showed me where the tread was beginning to separate from the tire...

Many relatives on my dad's side worked for Ford in corporate and on the line. They abandoned Detroit after the riots.
Wife and I took a steamship ride from Two harbors, MN to the Ford Rouge plant some years ago.
We went to the re christening of the two Ford steamers when they were purchased by Interlake Steamship in Cleveland. That was quite an affair. Everyone received crystal glassware with the new names (the boats were renamed for the wives of Interlake’s president and chairman.)

Have a Ranger pickup and am really satisfied with it.
Last year bought an Expedition for doing traveling.
What a comfortable exquisite ride. Wife loves it and the really short turning radius.

It’s a pity Ford doesn’t pay attention to the ‘Ranger’ size pickup market. They haven’t put a nickel into the St. Paul assembly plant and even though the product is a good one, it’s very outdated compared to the Toyota or Nissan.

Husband and I are going to need new (to us) vehicles in the next year or so; Ford it is. :)

Excellent!
My hubby (the great GOP_Harley_Guy) is outside right now plowing our driveway with his FORD tractor.

While turning the cable channels this late afternoon, I caught Jim Kramer’s show. You should have heard what he said about Ford. Even played a little patriotic music, IIRC. It was pretty cool. :-)

Sunday morning, hubby turned on the Weather Channel.
They were broadcasting live from our township.
They do that every year for the first major lake effect snow.
