Could the “Kennedy” on the ballot drain enough Democrat votes to get the Republican elected?
In a word, no. He is there for the OPPOSITE reason, to drain votes away from the Republican. He is “silently” promoted as the Tea Party Candidate. Of course Brown fills that bill far better. This matchup of ‘candidates’ reminds me of what we just had in New Jersey, with Corzine , Christie, and “independent” Daggett. Daggett may have been legit on his own terms , but the big fear was he would drain votes from Christie, a traditional Republican corruption-fighter, and that Corzine, regardless of last minute polling , would win, because after all this is NJ, where Dems ALWAYS win. Well, as some of us knew, it wouldn’t and didn’t happen that way.CHristie won by a neat
100,000 votes , even with Daggett in the race.
