Not only does the Democratic health care bill include tax hikes, as reported by Americans for Tax Reform, it also would expand the role of the Internal Revenue Service. From Kaiser Health News: Under the proposed health care legislation, they would get another assignment: checking to see whether Americans have health insurance.
The House and Senate bills require most Americans to have health insurance and to prove it on their annual federal tax return. Those who don’t would pay a penalty to the IRS.

The first of many unintended consequences related to the health insurance fiasco is starting to come to light.
If the IRS will be responsible to enforce the requirement that every adult (at least the legal ones) must purchase health insurance they will have to know who is out there.
Right now not everyone has to file an Income Tax return.
So, will congress pass a law that everyone has to file an annual return/report with the IRS regardless of income source or level?
How else will the IRS have information on those who do not have reportable levels or sources of income?

I believe your statement is only true for a small percentage of American Citizens.
Not so! Only those foolish enough to file a return will have to pay.
Read your tax code. The Dem's have created enough loopholes that none need pay taxes, and many do not even need to file.
No good will come from giving Leviathan more power over our lives. This proposed law is shameful tyranny, and indeed violates the Declaration of Independence, possibly triggering our duty to resist it by every means possible.

I can think of something even worse, fake IRS agents all across America banging on doors and demanding people make a “payment” immediately or they will all be incarcerated and ALL items on their property will be auctioned off.
I know if I were a scam artist I would have wet dreams about the endless possibilities of scamming scared people that refuse to JUST SAY NO to IRS.
