Back during The War, the Sten (or Bren - I can never remember) gun was designed to be manufactured in home machine shops in case of German invasion. How many copies of the plans d'you think are still kicking around in attics? Also, everyone I know whose Dad served from America, those dads kept their sidearms. They were supposed to turn them in, BUT...I wonder if the British post-war collection was any more efficient than ours. I wouldn't bet a nickel that guns couldn't be found in a pinch.
