How are we to know the info provided is honest or correct? They could easily outline a perfect security check process for him and release it with the assurances that's what happened. Truth is, unless there is some way to confirm their scenario there's no assurances any of that happened at all. For instance, how about the claim that the would-be bomber showed up to board the plane accompanied by someone who told the agent he had no passport? And how come we don't see the tape(s), just an account of what they showed.

Perhaps it was a case of mistaken identity and the man who asked to be boarded without a passport was not the one who tried to down the aircraft. In that case I would expect them to provide a statement from the agent saying there was indeed a man who tried to board with help from another but it was a different person. And it that's the case then how about we hear who the person was that the other passenger saw trying to board sans passport.

Nope, far too pat for my liking. My guess is he used a valid passport to get past the first level of security then disposed of that and had another plan for getting on board. They would probably want to see just where their plan fell apart. To what point would they have to get a person to be able to get them boarded without a passport or further security screening.

To my knowledge, and I've read pretty much everything I could find about this case, there has never been an explanation of what really happened at the gate that was witnessed and reported by the fellow traveler and his wife. If it didn't happen as he said then they've had plenty of time to refute his account. Not doing so simply tells me they are still not being truthful about the whole thing. Just as with the report on the other end, originally denied in strong terms, that another passenger was taken into custody after a dog reacted to his carry on bag. Turns out that was exactly what had happened.

We have reached the point where absolutely nothing we are told can be accepted at face value. Pretty sad.

There's more chance that the Nigerians are telling it as it is, than your own 'security services' IMO.

I find it interesting that the original return paid for was to Ghana and was later changed. Obviously...the Ghana connection was/is being covered over.

There has to be a 'good' reason for that.

The accomplice / attempt to board with no passport was in AMSTERDAM. I feel that Al Qaeda was attempting to save his passport for use with another, since this one was about to be “wasted.” I knew he would not have gotten on without a passport.
