This makes me want to go download a bunch of U2 songs and then move them to the Recycle bin.

Well, Mr. Bono, you don't have to worry about me. I won't be downloading any of your stuff any time soon.

Somehow I don’t think IP is Bono’s primary concern.

Bono,
If you can get my tax money shared with Africa, I don’t give a rat’s a*s about you losing royalty money from downloads. Kumbay-frickin’- ya!

For a guy who basically demands that "rich" nations write off the debt incurred by corrupt African nations, he can certainly afford to write off the few pennies downloading costs him.
Incidently, will he demand royalties from Africans with internet connections?

It's weird how many Marxists, Socialists and Communists are concerned about losing money. Don't they care about all of those "poor" and "oppressed" who won't have any music in their iPods if they can't get the music by downloading it from the internet?

Odd how Bono and all of the Hollywood and Birkenstock Bolsheviks have been telling us for years that private property is morally wrong, and then turn around and tell us that THEIR private property is important.

BONEHEAD!
As was Ted Kennedy (who outlived Mary Jo by 20+ years and is STILL dead), BONEHEAD is Irish.
Which reminds me of why God invented whiskey: To prevent the Irish from ruling the world.
To: Paul46360
Dont want it spread on the internet, get a lawyer, Bono.

Downloading and illegal copying is having a profound negative effect on the music industry. A few days ago I read that the biggest selling CD of 2009 would either be from Taylor Swift or Susan Boyle. Both CDs had around 3,000,000 in sales. That’s nothing compared to sales of the past. I know Britney Spears had an album that sold more than 20,000,000. Sales of around 10,000,000 were common for popular CDs before downloading.
Lots and lots of theft and copyright violation going on.
