I am very disappointed in the Bush team that is supporting Hutchinson. We do not want her as our governor. She was too eager to get along with the liberals in the Senate. I’m glad we get to replace her in Washington and do not think she has a chance to win the Governor’s race.
Yep it’s going to be a barn burner.
do not think she has a chance to win the Governors race.
I think you’ll see that Perry doesn’t share that thinking. Watch how his campaign unfolds and you’ll see his thinking of her possibillity of winning. It may not be really close in the end but I believe it will be close especially with Medina in the mix and getting some votes.
Are Cheney and W Bush ultimately conservatives or RINO’s?
Their support of the “moderate” Kay Bailey Hutchinson tells us something about them.
I don’t really like Rick Perry a lot. He’s a political pro himself who takes his money and does his animal tricks for the contributors.
Medina is probably the cleanest candidate here.
It will be interesting to watch this “shootout” in Texas.
It will be interesting to watch this shootout in Texas.
It’s one we haven’t seen the likes of in Texas in many years. Perry and Hutchison both seem to believe that they are entitled to suck at the public teat all their lives. Both have been doing so for almost 25 yrs each. I think both should get out of elective politics and find something else to do and let others come forward. Kings and Queens we don’t need.
I don’t care for Hutchison or Perry, but Kay Bailey is a ruthless campaigner, expect this race to be very close.
Freepmail me or ping me from the original thread to get on/off the 2010 Texas Governor's Race ping list.

Perry will be no slouch when pushed into a corner and I think both will be in corners for the next two months.
I’m voting for Medina. To heck with the two RINOs, I’ve had more than enough of them.
REMEMBER THIS, TEXANS:
Feds Have Built Only 32 Miles of 700 Mile Double-Border Fence Originally Mandated by Congress
One reason DHS has been able to do this is an amendment that Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison (R.-Texas) slipped into an omnibus appropriations bill that Congress passed on December 18, 2007. Hutchisons amendment put a loophole in the fence law that allowed the secretary of Homeland Security not to build the fence Congress had mandated the year before.

Agreed, but Medina had better get off of her rear end and start campaigning. She's not well known.
Rick Perry!
I’ve never liked Perry much, but Kay Bailey is a LOT worse, especially in recent years. She used to appear somewhat conservative, but she has really gone way downhill.
Oh, that's a sure-fire winner. The Elitist Illegal Immigrant Amnestry trio.
In 58 days GOP voters will select either Kay Bailey Hutchison or Rick Perry, two political veterans, popular with their party, undefeated in decades of elections.
“disappointed in the Bush team that is supporting Hutchinson”
SHOCKER there,,huh? And the famous “conservative” Cheney too,, lol.
