Her fiance is a personal care assistant? At best he makes between $8 and $12 an hour. Course I guess with welfare of what, about $500 a month per child, food stamps, a Hud rental, and his "comfortable" income, they are living high on the hog. And is she getting child support from any of the other sperm donors?

They just need a teensy bit more for which a lawsuit settlement will help.

And these companies need to stop settling these frivolous lawsuits. Her first with CVS, she used (if, in fact, she really did use it) an expired spermicide. She's playin' the system like a fiddle.

That's the damn truth. Some people are well aware that companies will settle out of court. I had a neighbor once, and he and his wife got 3 different slip and fall judgments, all in the thousands. I think they made out to the tune of 30-35k all together.

I was in the hospital once, having an appendectomy, and they brought in a guy who'd tripped and broken his hip at a bank. I had to listen to his lawyer tell him they were going to sue, because even though the bank had a sign saying to stay behind the rope, they placed the rope low enough that he was tempted and able to step over it.

The damn guy didn't wait his turn, intentionally stepped over the velvet rope they marked with a sign, tripped and busted his hip, and he was suing the bank. Because his lawyer told him that in similar incidents, banks would normally settle out of court, rather than fight a sympathetic jury and risk losing more money. He told him he'd probably be able to get him a figure in the low 40k range, without having to go to court. It's pathetic.
