Thanks.
Rick Warren preaches a works driven salvation - hence the “Purpose Driven Life”. Good deeds are supposed to magically transform you into a Christian. It doesn't work that way. You must accept Christ as your personal Savior. It is the Holy Spirit that then guides you and His teachings provide you the wisdom you need to live properly. Warren has basically selectively rewritten Scripture to accommodate this spiritual chicanery.
You cannot attain eternal life, as a Christian without BELIEF. Warren skips that and just emphasizes works - like sharing your crack with a fellow criminal is a good thing. Eternal life is not about GOOD WORKS. It is about FAITH, John 3:16. If belief isn't there, you don't have eternal life no mater how many good works you do. It's all about the heart.
Hanging out with Obama and pushing abortion with him is a good thing - according to Warren followers. Warren is so full of hypocrisy. H makes his money selling that sloop.
What Warren is doing is exploiting the void in people's lives with a “purpose” but belief in not emphasized. He offers nothing of eternal value. He's a fraud and rakes in the money for people FEELING BETTER about themselves for good deeds. Warren is a disgrace.
While I was waiting for your reply, I read what some Christian biblical scolars had to say about Warren. It was not good....
” Warren attended Robert Schullers school of church growth. Schullers emphasis on self esteem and pragmatism are very clearly adopted in Warrens philosophy. Schuller endorsed The Purpose Driven Church in the first few pages. How Warren could accept the endorsement of a man who has denied sin and completely lost the gospel is beyond me. “
You seem to concur with this quote, and for the right reasons. Thanks for taking your time to explain.

It is far easier to attract large audiences with an “Ahm OK, you’re OK, pragmatic. Being a good Christian is not easy. If one could buy their way in with good works, Warren would have 20 million members ;-)
bingo - well said
