Romney says Brown can ‘make history’
The Boston Globe ^ | 01-01-10 | The Boston Globe Staff

Mitt Romney - that rare political breed, a Republican elected statewide in Massachusetts - told supporters yesterday that if Scott Brown can pull off a similar feat next month in the US Senate special election, it “would shock the country and send a strong message that business as usual in Washington is coming to an end.’’

“He would bring badly-needed fiscal restraint to an out-of-control budget process that is adding trillions of dollars to our national debt,’’ said Romney, the former Bay State governor who gives every indication he’s preparing a second presidential bid in 2012.

Keep your nasty stuff to yourself.

In fact, don’t ever post to me again.

Ran out of ammunition, eh? Nice cover. But I doubt anyone can say of you that you’re not retreating but reloading. You don’t have anything to reload and never had much more than spitwads to begin with.

Free speech doesn’t mean you can post anything you want. With free speech comes responsibility.

- - - - - -
That is why we have Mods. FR is an OPEN forum and if you post a thread, especially one relating to someone/something controversial (like Mitt), expect people to respond in various ways.

Free speech also applies to those whose views you don’t like.

You attitude is that of many liberals: “Free speech for me, but not for thee!”

Well look at what well-known investment firm contributed to the DNC and Democrats and NOT Republicans in 2006 and 2008. http://www.opensecrets.org/parties/contrib.php?cmte=DNC&cycle=2008 Sullivan and Cromwell, gave over $240,000 to the Democratic National Committee in the 2008 election cycle. That means that the law/lobbying firm was the ninth-largest giver to the DNC in its category. behind five financial services firms, Time Warner, National Amusements, and two other law firms. Big-name law firm Latham & Watkins was Number 11. You won’t believe who was Number 12:

Take a look at Romney’s Personal Financial Disclosure Statement for 2007. It shows substantial investments in................. Bain partnerships and joint ventures.

And I’m not FREE to ask someone to leave of my threads when they are purposely disrupting it and ruining it for others

- - - - - - - - - -

YOU are not a MODERATOR, so therefore the answer is NO you are not allowed to order other posters around.

The point of FR is the free discussion of ideas, that includes some dissenting opinions on things.

If you feel someone is being disruptive or abusive, then hit the “abuse button”.

You are not our mommy, so I expect you to not act like it.

Maybe Romney would rather focus on his personal financial business, for example the millions he made from his trust funds when they invested in companies doing business in Iran, despite his sharp rhetoric on the campaign trail urging state pension funds to divest from those companies.

“If smooth talking Mitt Romney thinks he can rescue his floundering campaign by talking about his business experience then by all means, let’s talk about his whole record,” said Democratic National Committee spokesman Damien LaVera. “After Romney explains why he helped companies set up offshore tax havens and slash jobs instead of investing in America’s economy he can explain why he talks tough on divesting from companies doing business in Iran when his own trust funds are littered with those same investments. With a record like that, Romney might have an easier time explaining all those flip-flops.”

With a Business Record Like That, Romney Should Just Stick to the Flip-Flops

I know who the enemy of this nation is and it’s not Mitt Romney.

- - - - - -
Not entirely true and here is why. Romney’s (and other RINOs) attempt to take over the GOP and get the nom for 2012 hurts this country greatly.

The farther that the RINOs push the GOP to the center, the further left the Dems move, this has been consistent in the parties for the last 20 years. This is also reflected by the change of “center” in American politics. The more moderate the GOP becomes, the more radical the left becomes in order to compensate.

Further, the push for Romney by Mitt-bots to secure the nom serves to damage the GOP further. For various reasons, Mitt is unelectable. Conservatives won’t vote for him b/c of his record, some moderates will not vote for him b/c he is “religious”, and some will not vote for him b/c simply because he is Mormon.

For the GOP to nominate a RINO like Romney will cause conservatives to defect and weaken the party even more, leading to a higher likelihood of a second Obama term.

Obama and Romney go hand in hand, in many ways they are birds of a feather, just with different labels. Both are enemies of freedom and the principles this country was founded on.

But, your pathetic whining is like a broken record. Do you have nothing else to do with your lives, nothing positive?

Therefore, it looks like Romney has the best interests of the nation at heart rather than yourselves and the other snipers

- - - - - - -
Ad hominum attack and then flee. Yep, SOP for Mitt-bots.

If Romney had the best interests of the nation at heart then he would get out of politics all together and go retire somewhere.

I don’t hold him lying to the liberals in Massachussets so they would elect him against him,

- - - - —
So lying is OK, as long as it furthers your goal????

Google “Lying for the Lord”, it fits in with what Romney did to get elected in MA.

In all your posts, you seem to have some serious fantasy issues.

Maybe I can help you out.

Did you know that Jesus DIED for your sins (not just a few drops shed in the garden)? Did you know you can be FREED from the chains of legalism and sin? Did you know that all your ‘good works’ are used menstrual rags in the sight of God without being spiritually reborn (nothing to do with baptism or membership in a denomination)? Did you also know that there is ONLY ONE book about Jesus - the Bible - and that it is entirely complete and trustworthy?

I think that if you got to know about Jesus and His sacrifice on the cross for your sins, you would be less blind. Check out these website for more info:

K Street Trollups one and all.

Steve Forbes is right, the Flat Tax with no deductions will help drain these alligators and get rid of the swamp that is the tax code and their reason to cozy up to power.

Yes; deceiving liberals to get conservatives elected in Communists states is ok.

To quote Ann Coulter quoting NARAL:

After his term as governor, NARAL Pro-Choice America assailed Romney, saying: "(A)s governor he initially expressed pro-choice beliefs but had a generally anti-choice record. His position on choice has changed. His position is now anti-choice."

It's ok, though. You guys would be doing the same thing to the first governor to actually legalize abortion in America - Ronald Reagan. And like Reagan, you will probably grow to admire him if he's elected in 2012.

Keep on raging and cutting and pasting.

Because you have unlimited TIME on the internet to keep repeating yourself doesn't actually make your point of view any more valid.

I've had my say; I'm not trying to fight with you or change your mind. And I'm in a tropical paradise for only another few days so I'd rather spend my time elsewhere rather than amusing myself at your hysterics.

Using Reagan to defend Romney is about as popular on FR as a fart in church...

To me it smacks of retread.
