Mitt Romney - that rare political breed, a Republican elected statewide in Massachusetts - told supporters yesterday that if Scott Brown can pull off a similar feat next month in the US Senate special election, it would shock the country and send a strong message that business as usual in Washington is coming to an end.
He would bring badly-needed fiscal restraint to an out-of-control budget process that is adding trillions of dollars to our national debt, said Romney, the former Bay State governor who gives every indication hes preparing a second presidential bid in 2012.

Well, lookie here, another one of you fellows decided to make a run, bleating boastfully how successful you are in identifying and neutralizing a vile Romney supporting troll. Only problem is that you are, as usual, off target and most of the “troll like” behavior actually comes from your group.
I suspect that Ansel’s analysis of my posts has more to do with clairvoyance than any actual review, but then I don’t see any concern for accuracy in many of his posts. This thread has over 2400 views they can each view the content of my posts, as well as his “group” and decide for themselves. Ansel also accuses me of “distracting the thread from it’s purpose”, which is EXACTLY what he does on any thread that mentions Gov. Romney.
What did I post to draw such ire, it seems to be these two statements “there are far more serious and urgent threats than Gov. Romney” and that “if their preferred candidate can’t win the presidency with their dragging the candidate’s opposition’s carcass through the streets that their candidate doesn’t deserve to win”, I stand by both statements.
The two most urgent issues are to restore the integrity of the election process, democrats couldn’t steal enough votes to win (until 2006 anyway) so they are hoping to use criminals and illegal immigrants to add to their success... if we can’t choose our representatives nothing else matters.
The next in urgency is health care, Gov. Romney in not in a player in any of this. Gov. Romney can be dealt with when the time comes (after 2010) and the best way to do that is to have a stronger candidate.
Two things, you aren’t reading my informative posts about Romney and you still aren’t saying anything of substance, you just want us to stop criticizing Romney, which is a “distraction” from a Romney thread.
Man up and start promoting Romney in the open, with political information, not by trying to keep us from discussing him and his politics.
You don’t have to be on the Romney threads if you don’t want to be.
And it is clearly effective because you respect DeMint and not me, right? So if I wanted to convince you of something, I better have someone you respect speak on the subject rather than me, a nameless 'newby' on the interewebs.
If someone is truly being abusive, you can report it and they may be kicked out.
You seem unable to focus on the topic here, which is Mitt Romney, evidently, you are some little retread troll.
That’s all you got huh, you are the one that invades Romney threads with your bile. You look through the haze of your stupor and see exactly what you want to see, an eviiil Romney supporter behind every tree. You are a closet liberal, a simpleton or simply a rabble-rouser that doen’t seek solutions, but only disruption... you deal in fantasy.
In any case events will pass you by and you will be a useless hulk devoid of wit and inventiveness.... that is all.
That was very deep, when you grow up, try to come out like a man and defend Romney with political arguments, and answer the ones that we pose on the Romney threads.
As I already told you, “Your posts are never substantive, or meaningful, or even relevant. Your method of working in behalf of Romney is to merely troll threads making little fluffy digs and insults.”
“criticizing Romney, which is a distraction from a Romney thread”
I should have added, it was really a story about a positive comment by Gov. Romney about Scott Brown (who wasn’t discussed), YOU and your ilk made it an assault on Romney.
You have shown your true colors, you are not capable of a rationality discussion. You are tarnishing a site that has a hard won repution.. perhaps by design.
When you start getting involved in discussions about Mitt Romney then let us know, in the meantime, quit trolling like this and wasting people’s time.
Actually, your Master “I am Myth” Romney said nothing
positive about Scott Brown. Romney apparently
is unable to do anything positive about anyone else.
Romney made history by backstabbing Gov.Palin.
Romney made history by covering up the BIG DIG, forever.
Romney made history by imposing gay marriage.
Romney made history by imposing RomneyCARE (death panels).
Romney HAS MADE HISTORY, fascist that he is.
Ditto Scott Brown or any other current issue. Goodnight, get some rest, you need the rejuvenation, might make you more lucid.
Welcome to the dance, this thread needs some enlightenment... eer where is it.
But I decided the topic is now about amusing pictures of kittens.
No, it seems we have a retread troll on our hands.
Maybe I can help you out.
Did you know that God has a plan for you? Maybe you can discuss it with some friendly young people at your house. Did you also know that there are actually TWO books about Jesus - not just the Bible?
I think that if you got to know about God and God's plan for you, you would be less angry. Check out this website for more info.
Ansel12 - I strongly encourage you to give up your jihad and instead find out what God's plan is for you here: The One True Chuch.
(Addressed to Ansel12) "You really shouldnt post when your panties are all bunched up, you tend to look silly."
Zero substance, 100 percent empty snarkiness.
Now, if you want to argue that there are far more serious and urgent threats than Gov. Romney that's fine, and as you know, I hold the opposite view -- that in fact Romney poses a bigger danger to the future of the GOP right now than any other American politician because what he promotes and stands for is Democrat Lite, thus making impotent the GOP as a meaningful alternative for Americans who are sick of the Democrat party. Obama and other big government liberal Democrats strengthen the GOP because they drive people who are sick of the Nanny State to find an alternative. Romney weakens the GOP because he would remove that alternative from those people and force them to either vote third-party or throw up their hands in despair and say "There's not a dime's worth of difference between the two parties."
Restoring the election process is indeed urgent; you and I agree there. I think pure vote fraud is what gets liberal democrats in office and that the majority of productive, thinking Americans reject them but are too timid to believe it because the national media has so skillfully crafted the illusion that "everybody" (except right wing nuts) is on the side of Liberals.
None of this changes the fact that of all Republican politicians whose supporters post to Free Republic, Romney supporters have a long track record on this site as being the most deceptive, whiny, and rationalizing of them all. They have proven themselves to be very bad sports and victicrats who are demonstrably not above out-and-out lying ("Rush Limbaugh endorsed/supported Romney!" "Reagan was once adamantly pro-choice!" are among the falsehoods frequently posted by them here).
Ansel is right: you fail to argue Romney on his merits, and instead attempt to argue that we should ignore his failures and let it slide. To paraphrase Ike Clanton, "That don't go around here."
But most conservatives who are fiercely FOR him are motivated, I’m afraid, by religious bigotry.

As evidenced by the number of votes Romney won by in Utah.
