The media — all of 'em — deserve to go out of business for this. Plenty of people noticed that the country was about to elect to the Presidency a guy who hadn't even been in the Senate a full term (in a world where Senators have usually made lousy presidents). No way was this guy qualified to sit in the Oval Office, yet our news media told the people nothing but the highest praises for this totally empty suit. They got him elected, and now look. At least half the people who voted for him are sorry they did and feel they were bamboozled by the media. Schadenfreude is good as far as it goes, but it's no substitute for having a competent president who has this country's interests at heart. What we have is an amateur-night community organizer whose understanding of economics and foreign policy, to the extent he understands them at all, are informed by academic Marxism and race-baiting hoodoo. Happy New Year, and God Save the United States. |
But he gives such great speeches that everyone loves.
Yeah, Nick, I’ve gotta disagree with you. I know what you mean, and perhaps we’re approaching the same goal from different roads.
He IS doing a lousy job, yes. Which means (hopefully) that eventually the fellating Congress currently servicing him will get off their knees or be fired. And his fascist tendencies will be retarded or, preferably, stopped.
I look at this as GOOD news: no one anointed this guy king EXCEPT the media and his cult...and they’re going to pay a heavy price. I think that is just recompence...and eventually people will be much more suspect of anyone with such an unknown following.
