I think Saddam passed on the very small quantity of highly weaponized anthrax that his labs were able to produce to Al Quaeda, and they used it.I believe it's pretty well established, via DNA and other evidence, that the strain used originated in a US Army research lab. IOW, not in Iraq.

Yes. In Iowa. And we gave some to Europeans, Germans specifically, who tried to pass it on to Irag’s Department of Agriculture. Only Sadam’s personal guards intercepted the package before it could get inside the Department.
