Sen. Ben Nelson (D-Neb.) reached out Thursday evening to South Carolina GOP Attorney General Henry McMaster, the leader of a group of 13 Republican state attorneys general who are threatening to file suit against the Senate health care bill, and urged him to forgo any legal action, POLITICO has learned.
According to a copy of a memo sent by McMasters chief of staff to other GOP state attorneys general detailing the call, Nelson asked McMaster to call off the dogs, a reference to recent threats by the state AGs to file a lawsuit challenging the constitutionality of a Medicaid provision in the bill that benefits Nebraska at the expense of other states.

“Stand By Me”
I read that passage in speech class (HS).
You can always count on a liberal to start the tough posturing way too late, and picking the wrong battles.
Haha - hope they’re both toast!
The Republic is dead. It has been for a long time. One of the first steps in killing it was when Senators started being directly elected. Having the Federal Reserve Bank and Income Tax that give the government nearly unlimited funding were the other nails in the coffin.
I hope the pressure citizens are putting on the Atty Generals of their respective states will override Nelson’s desperate plea.
Anything else, I'd rather watch snow or a BBC show on the production of aspirin.
IF BULBOUS NOSE DOESN’T LIKE THE HEAT, HE SHOULD HAVE STAYED OUT OF THE KITCHEN.
He’s screwed in Nebraska ... locally running ads. Video at link, (complete with driveby boo at the end).

“There’s no government-run health insurance plan here, no government takeover,” he said. “It will benefit the people of Nebraska and it is good for Nebraska. We’ll help protect Medicare and we’ll help lower the cost of health care and it will be budget-neutral.”
Nelson brought up abortion and the so-called “Cornhusker Kickback,” which prompted threats of lawsuits from 13 attorneys general from around the nation.
“There is no effort to try to get something for the state of Nebraska that we’re not going to try to get for all the other states. That’s the understanding with the leadership,” Nelson said.
The senator said he won’t vote for cloture if the language he fought for changes. And he also said he wont change his vote just to save his job.
“But I can’t make my decisions on the basis of the next election. I can’t, and I won’t,” Nelson said.
He must be hung to have bagged Vanessa Marcil. A read head scratcher there, along with Angelina and Billy Bob.
yuck......
...and the horse you rode in on.
The libs think it’s a good thing that healthcare should be distributed based on whose Congressperson works the best political deal.
A little late.
Call of the whores, Ben.
I dunno, never seen his junk. Lucky bastard to have had Vanessa for awhile, she’s on my FReeper babes page. If Ang didn’t have all those tats (ick !), she might’ve landed on it, too.
Whoops, my reply in #71 was to the wrong person and post (sorry fieldmarshallj—nothing meant by that)
I was replying to post 22-—finishing Cheney’s fabulous directive..
*snicker*
That did leave me scratching my head since that wasn’t a line in “Stand By Me.” ;-)
Good God. Didn’t he say his vote could not be bought before his vote was bought? Now he would have us believe he won’t change his vote based on the next election?
I remember what Howard Stern said about Ang and BillySlob: “He must have good coke or a huge d*ck.”
I’ll apply the same logic to Feldman and Vanessa.
I hate tats, especially on women. Look at Megan Fox - WHY THE TATS??? WHY??? It’s like throwing vomit on the Mona Lisa.
blah...
