Also in the news today...as if Janet Nappin' at the Alamo isn't in enough trouble.
Napolitano Urges Action on Amnesty in 2010 Friday, 01 January 2010 10:49
[snip]Falsely Claims Progress in Fighting Illegal Immigration
In an address before the pro-amnesty Center for American Progress (CAP), Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano signaled the Obama administration's support for legislation that would include amnesty for current illegal aliens and increases in the overall flow of immigration into the U.S. Napolitano also expressed support for improved immigration enforcement - despite actions taken by her department that have dramatically curtailed enforcement.
"We need Congress to create the legal foundation for bringing the millions of illegal immigrants in this country out of the shadows," said Napolitano. "We need carefully crafted programs that allow American businesses to hire needed foreign workers," she continued. "Our immigration system is outdated where families are concerned, and we need to modernize and streamline the laws governing this process."
While amnesty for illegal aliens and increases in government regulated immigration would not be justified even if the administration actually were enforcing immigration laws as they claim, the facts demonstrate that they are not.
America's borders are anything but secure. By the Department of Homeland Security's (DHS) own admission, a mere 894 miles of border or coastline are under "effective control," out of the total 8,607 miles that the department is charged with protecting. Moreover, DHS has no plans to secure even one additional mile during the current fiscal year.
There has also been dramatic regression in virtually all areas of interior immigration enforcement under Napolitano's leadership. According to DHS data released on Nov. 18, arrests, indictments and convictions of immigration law violators have all fallen by more than half during 2009.

Ugh.
“Chose to let her die.” She didn’t chose anything. She murdered somebody.
Damn, they murdered an American Citizen that was just an infant.
What a shame. And yes, I realize there are homegrown American girls just as shameless. Do we need to import more??
She wasn’t real bright, was she....she destroyed the jackpot baby that could have gotten her all sorts of tax payer goodies.
She should be deported for stupidity.
Napolitano: “......”Our immigration system is outdated.......”
How can we tell it’s outdated, it’s never enforced.
Another one...ah, the good ol’ internet...and how does someone get a passport AFTER getting in the country?
GLEN — An illegal immigrant from Honduras was arrested on New Years Eve when he tried to pass off a fake drivers license, according to the Montgomery County Sheriffs Office.
Tomas Martinez Rocha, 25 of the Bronx, was pulled over for speeding on State Highway 5S in the town of Glen.
Upon his arrest Rocha admitted to buying a fake license and Social Security card on the Internet for $800.
Rocha has a Honduran passport he obtained after he came to the US, deputies said.

Does this mean taxpayers will be permitted to cut back Valencia’s welfare checks??!!
Napolitano: ......Our immigration system is outdated.......
Translation: It’s Bush’s fault. And Cheney, too.
Another one of those hopey/changey things.

Students start walk from Miami to Washington to push for changes in immigration law
By Laura Wides-Munoz (CP) 2 hours ago
MIAMI While their fellow college students recovered from the night’s revelry, four South Floridians celebrated the New Year with a more active - and activist - approach.
The group set out Friday to begin a 1,500 mile (2,400 kilometre) journey they are calling the “Trail of Dreams,” from Miami’s historic Freedom Tower to Washington, D.C. The goal is to raise support for legislation that would include a path to citizenship for eligible illegal immigrants.
The four, all immigrants themselves, plan to walk the entire distance, no matter the weather. They expect students and other supporters to join them along the way and plan to arrive in the capital May 1, which has become a day of immigrant rights rallies in recent years.
“I think sometimes I should go back to Colombia and try to help there,” he said. “But it’s not my country anymore. This is my home. This is where I can help.”[snip]
If the mother is an illegal or a member of some other protected class, shouldn’t the media refer to this as a “mostly birth abortion?” After all, a truly liberated liberal womyn should be able to choose whenever she wants...
Check out the liberal spin by the media...
[snip]WASHINGTON (AP) Immigration prosecutions rose to record levels in 2009 as the Obama administration kept up aggressive enforcement that began under President George W. Bush. (OH, brother!)
Nearly 27,000 people faced serious federal charges relating to immigration in 2009, according to Chief Justice John Roberts’ annual year-end report on the judiciary. More than three-fourths were accused of illegally re-entering the United States after having been sent home before.
He also noted that increases in fraud, marijuana trafficking and sex crimes cases helped push the number of criminal cases to the highest level since 1932, the year before the repeal of Prohibition.
Aw what’s a little late abortion!
Aw what’s a little late abortion!
Obama is only going after illegals who have committed felonies, not those who merely jump the border.
Extremely sad.
Even when people KNOW they can turn in a baby anonymously, to instead decide to murder the baby.
“Napolitano: ......Our immigration system is outdated.......
How can we tell its outdated, its never enforced.
LOL!
We need carefully crafted programs that allow American businesses to hire needed foreign workers,” she continued.
HEY JANET, why not give ALL those available jobs to unemployed Americans ?
Oh, wait, there are no jobs.
Idjit.
