Are the Iranian resistance fighters not collecting weapons and gear from the riot police/soldiers they overpower in the streets?

Are there not former soldiers amongst the resistors who know how to use this gear tactically?

M<ost of rhe Basij and secret police, so far, have only used hand to hand combat weapons. Such as batons, iron bars, knives, chains and razor knives, and of course twae gas. not many firearms, but used from the middle of a bunch of anti-riot troops of in ambush. So there’s not been a large amount of weapons to seize from troops, even when some of them get overwhelmed...so far.
