Oww.
yea, you’ll get a reply...a promise for total gun control and very forceful confiscation from all citizens.
LOL!
Won’t matter, he will still be eligible to fly.
Failure on multiple levels here.
Prolly came from the evil Gun Show...;0)
Not just Houston...
Recall the Ft. Hood shooter and Dallas bomb plot, both this year.
So it does look like people here in Texas are starting to gear-up...
Really?.....
It’s only dangerous if there is A ROCKET IN IT.
From what I can gather I think this was just an empty tube. Bunch of bed-wetters.
Is it common to store rocket launchers in a residence with the missiles attached?
Oh come on, doesn’t everybody have a few of those laying around? /s
Yeah. Wow, indeed.
My guess is he was looking for methods to re-arm the launcher. No doubt his amish buddies have a rocket or two laying around.
You can’t attach a missile to an AT4. It is a single-shot weapon, incapable of being reloaded in the traditional manner. This is literally a worthless piece of plastic.
If he had a SMAW, that would be a different story.
Having said that, I can't understand why no one here is concerned they may be reloaded. The tube is just the aiming device. I have no doubt that there are some enterprising Jihadists that have made rockets that will fit the tube. Maybe time to look in the Anarchists Cook Book again for updates.
Nabilaye I. Yansane...Methodist of course.
This whole story stinks. He owned Jihadist writings? WTF does that mean? There are probably links to Bin Laden tapes and Al Queda manuals on FR. Did he write this stuff of just print it out and read it?
And why was he arrested for trespassing? Why wasn’t she arrested for holding his possessions from him? That sounds like theft to me.
Ok, I’ve read all the post on this and I guess I’ll just step out there ready for flaming. I personally believe under our constitution that any one of us should be able to have weapons for self defense.
I suppose that gets into a very slippery slope when we could be talking about Tanks and bombs so I admit there must be some reasonable discussion, but when our own government may turn against us, a shoulder rocket IMHO could be considered a firearm and protected.
So, while this tube was nothing more without rockets to go with it, I am not sure I’d be opposed to the right to bear arms covering this contraption.
That doesn’t mean that I think anyone with jihadist ties shouldn’t be profiled and handled accordingly. I am all for profiling, but let’s be careful to not suggest that any American with a personal shoulder rocket is a threat.
Aren’t possession of hand grinades legal? Maybe not.
What the founding fathers intended with the 2nd was that the citizens should be able to have anything the Gov had.
They did not intend that we just be able to have flintlocks.
Its only in the past 100 years that we started getting all skeered and start saying what people can and cant have.
The past 50 years have been the worst for regulation in the history of our nation.
