Good riddance Time Warner Cable..we have been loyal Adelphia, then Time Warner Cable customers for years, then they pull this crap. First they take away The Weather Channel, Family Channel, and Oxygen Network, now they are taking away Fox from me..I am through with them, we are just going to keep Time Warner Internet since I don’t have any available DSL in my area, but we are switching to The Dish Network(My sister has dish so she would get a 50 dollar credit) What do you all think, is Dish better then Directv?
I’ve never had DirectTV but I have had Dish for 14 years and have had no problems with them.
43% say no.

Fox isn’t just goign after cable, they are goign after satelite too- this iwll affect satelitye as well
Dish was OK, but I switched to Direct several years ago and have had no problems what so ever. Anything is better than cable
They (comcast) were doing the same thing to us.........every week we lost another channel, and signal quality was dropping fast....all we had to do was subscribe to the digital cable to get everything fixed they told us...we told them to go to hell, and went with AT&T Uverse instead...and I love it....got more for less cash, and have not had a problem with it...
Lots of folks I know have Direct TV, however, I have Dish Network and love it. It’s reasonable and in the 3 years I’ve had it, it’s only gone out twice. (Came right back on a couple minutes later).
I have the 250 channel package and only pay $65 for it. (Previously had Comcast and had enough of there prices, and my cable went out at least once a week.) I pay an extra $7 for “insurance” in case the dish falls off the house or we lose a remote, I don’t have to pay for it. All the customer service folks are really nice, too. I had to order a new remote and she pleasantly informed me regardless of my insurance, the first replacement remote is always free and waived the shipping costs, too.
Dish is WAY, WAY, WAY better than Clunker TV (Direct)
DISH costs less, offer better channel packages, are easier to use and set up, and their program guide is much better and easier to understand. They also have movie ratings, where Clunker TV does not.
I made the switch years ago, and will never consider going back.
DISH ALL THE WAY!
Read the TV guide, you don't need a TV
I had Comcast (still do for broadband Internet) I had Dish for years, they jerked me around and they also transferred their tech support to the Philippines.
I switched to DirecTV, it is much better, it has more HD channels and much better customer support and you can under stand them! ;)
Love my Dish. Had Directv and hated it. Terrible customer service. With Dish my prices don’t jump every six months or so like with Time Warner. I do miss the internet service from Time Warner. They have great customer service and you are going to love the dual dvr. Have had them for 5 years and have not one bad thing to say about them.
Like someone else already said to you, anything is better than cable. I got Directv. I am glad I switched years ago. My cable provider sucked. The picture looked like garbage and my internet connection was awful. Yes my picture sometimes goes down in bad weather but I really don’t care. I got plenty of DVD’s and a internet connection for times like that.
As for which on to get I don’t know what to tell you. I would look at the programing and costs and see which I prefer.
