The original sin of the good-riddance decade came in December of 2000, when the United States Supreme Court intervened to stop a complete recount of the votes in Florida and then declared George Bush to be the president. I can remember when I heard about 9/11 thinking "Thank God Algore is not President, and I know I was not the only one.
This Obozo waits 3 days to comment on the Detroit incident, and Bush was roundly criticized for finishing reading to children.

This Obozo waits 3 days to comment on the Detroit incident, and Bush was roundly criticized for finishing reading to children. To be fair, Obozo was reacting to a failed incident, whereas President Bush was reacting to a successful one.
But three hours would have been a reasonable interval - not days. You know - the three hours that his staff took to tell him about the incident to begin with?
