LOS ANGELES - Los Angeles County prosecutors have decided no charges will be filed against a suburban police officer who kicked a surrendering suspect in the head after a dangerous car chase.
Rodriguez, a parolee heavily covered in gang tattoos, was lying face-down on the ground during the May 13 incident, which was broadcast by a TV news helicopter. After four officers converged on Rodriguez, two of them did a "high five."

Violent police moves are common after car chases. The usual rationale given is that they feared the person was dangerous.
There could still be a lawsuit. Civil charges are easier to prove than criminal ones.
On the video the German Shepard was so close to tearing the flesh...Too bad...
Good ending for all here.
considering the perp is probably an illegal and part of MS13 or equivalent. . . .
Watch the German Shepard at the end of the video...Sooo close....
What? The dog got no Hispanic food. It must be disappointed.
No foul!
Play ball!
Normally this kind of thing is farmed out to magistrates.
You’ll love this, then.
It’s freaking awesome.
What a dog!

[never bring a gun to a Malinois fight]
Seen it...If I recall, that was a training video.
Maybe so but the dog literally passed with flying colors.
Yeah, check the size of the coat/arms on the guy, just prior to the bite.
It is typical but shameful that the perp in blue is being allowed to walk.
I gotta be honest here, I’m a little biased...
I would of let the dog eat this cockroach son of a bitch, alive.
Went to a dog demo a few years back, intended to show us the difference between the attack training and the hold in place training. The officer playing the suspect role had the arm pad on for the first segment, then failed to remove it. When the dog was given the ‘hold’ command, you could almost hear it say, “well, clearly that’s the wrong command ‘cause the guy still has the sleeve on”. The dog also apparently concluded he was being asked to do it again because he hadn’t worked hard enough the first time. The dog raced across the parking lot, launched himself into the air about ten feet from the ‘suspect’ and just flattened him. Pretty funny stuff.
I concur and I am also biased.
Superdog! Wow!
As the cop approached, the cockroach can clearly be seen yelling, “I will have your family killed.”
I thought the cop showed remarkable restraint.
