Some speculate the rich young ruler was the future Apostle Paul.Have wondered, given Paul's devotion to Judaism and his great teacher if he was, indeed, in Jerusalem at the time of the Passover/Crucifixion, even a witness. When on the road to Damascus and Jesus spoke to him, Paul already seemed to know who Jesus was. Maybe that was because any soul would recognize Jesus in a burst of light.
Sorry for the temporary thread hijacking.

Some speculate the rich young ruler was the future Apostle Paul. Where did you hear that? I thought I was the only one who had contemplated that. There is nothing new under the sun I guess.

Don’t think he would want to be part of the Kingdom and then go about killing Christians after Christ’s reply.....Paul was trained to be a Jewish lawyer (educated in the Scriptures)..he was not a rich young ruler..

“Some speculate the rich young ruler was the future Apostle Paul.”
Never heard that before. Is there any scriptural basis or is it just speculation?

Why would you care about what others speculate? Doesn't Scripture tell us what we need to know?
We are destroying speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ. 2Cor 10:5
