Actually you can’t tell by EKG whether or not you’ve had a heart attack. You can get abnormal waveforms from stenotic vessels without damaging the heart, I know this from experience. To test for heart muscle damage they do blood enzyme tests.

Luckily my two “general doctors” who treat me for anything are cardiologists. I am very lucky. :)
