I was thinking about this. sometimes a nerve can really cause pain. I've had my back out before that felt like I was having chest pains, but I needed a chiropractic adjustment. tha pain shoots all the way around. He has indeed been having back pains.

Very good point. He mentioned the disc problem is in the neck/upper back area so it's quite possible.

Like sciatica, where a pinched nerve in the lumbar spine can really screw up your leg and masquerade as bursitis, tendonitis, etc. Very painful and obnoxious.
