HONOLULU -- Conservative radio talk host Rush Limbaugh was rushed to a Honolulu hospital on Wednesday afternoon with chest pains, sources told KITV.
Paramedics responded to the call at 2:41 p.m. at the Kahala Hotel and Resort.
Limbaugh suffered from chest pains, sources said. Paramedics treated him and took him to Queen's Medical Center in serious condition.
He was seen golfing at Waialae Country Club earlier this week. The country club is next to the Kahala Hotel and Resort.
The radio show host had been in the islands during the holidays. Coincidentally, his visit comes at a time when two of the nation's most powerful Democrats, President Barack Obama and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, are also staying in Hawaii.
Amen! We must all pray for his speedy recovery!
It doesn’t look like she’s the type that will admit to a mistake.
I believe you (I know lots of doctors who can’t spell OR type). USUHS is one of the best schools out there. Too bad they’ve been undermined by the political correctness that ran rampant through everything in the 90s.
Even to the point of taking a word I misspelled and humiliating me with it on a posting board?
Spell check is your friend, and you will never be humiliated again.
As you type your response to this post, look below the reply box, below the line that says Tagline, and you will see a button that says, “Spell.” After completing your comment, press that button. Any spelling corrections you need to make will appear. Make the corrections, and post your comment. All will be well.
And remember: No one can humiliate you. You, only, can humiliate yourself.
Y’know what’s really funny? Most of us have had trouble with colons, gall bladders, spines, etc, and we all think we know everything.
Not to dis you in any way, but each of us is so unique, we could all be suffering from the same problem while the manifestation of that one problem is different in every single one of us.
Thank God we have doctors who understand that..... for now, at least.
I just scrolled by all that garbage. I don’t want to even look at it.
I imagine David is in contact with him. I have no idea how to reach him.
Actually, it will go downhill a lot quicker than that - a lot of us will retire long before we become government employees
Can you post the email address of the hospital, please? Thanks!
The doctors will be doing a series of blood draws over several hours to measure cardiac enzymes which can help determine damage to cardiac muscle and possible myocardial infarction (heart attack).
from American Heart Association:
“Blood tests confirm (or refute) suspicions raised in the early stages of evaluation typically in an emergency room, intensive care unit or urgent care setting. Such tests are sometimes called heart damage markers or cardiac enzymes.
The blood test most commonly used to confirm the existence of heart muscle damage is the creatine kinase (KREE’ah-teen KI’nas), or CK for short. A small fraction of the CK enzyme, CK-MB, is often measured as well. CK-MB shows an increase above normal in a person’s blood test about six hours after the start of a heart attack. It reaches its peak level in about 18 hours and returns to normal in 24 to 36 hours. The peak level and the return to normal can be delayed in a person who’s had a large heart attack, especially if they don’t get early and aggressive treatment.”
Sources tell KITV that Rush Limbaugh will stay overnight in the hospital in Honolulu and expect a full recovery. (thnx-@USABreakingNews)
“Yup. Ironic isnt it? Were supposed to be the party of hate.”
They hate with extreme passion, but the media pigeon holes US as the haters. I’ve said we’ve been living in an Orwellian World for about a decade, now.
If any of my lib friends say anything nasty i’m DONE with them.
Yeeeeeeesh. I'm no more incensed than the woman making fun of his shorts, for cripe's sakes! Get a grip, dear.
I was one of arts most loyal listeners Ramona’s death was a mystery to many of arts listeners Some felt art may have had a hand in it
NEW:
He was reported to be alert and conscious.
Queen’s spokesman N. Makana Shook said the hospital is unable to comment.
Praying for Rush. We need you!
Wrong hospital but that's funny!
Fearless leader was born at Kapiolani, a couple of miles down the freeway from Queen's.
First found Rush through his tv show. Had never heard of him. Think it was the night Clinton won the nomination. After Night Line I didn’t change the channel and I realized there was this guy saying the exact things about Clinton I was thinking. Couldn’t believe what I was hearing. Been hooked on Rush ever since.
Praying for him.
