I think that this self basting bomber has a verbal message to give someone, and he had to get the the USA. I am going to guess, his daddy will hire the best USA lawyer (probably provided by CAIR) to relay the message to.
I totally disagree. His capture alive is the worst outcome for the terrorists - worse than him just getting cold feet. They may be crowing about his getting past security, but they have no way of knowing how compromised they are at this point. This will set them back perhaps another year, in my opinion, before they try anything meaningful again. Anything they learned is by accident, i.e., the fuse not being adequate. That thing was designed to go off, not fizzle out. They don't give a crap about passenger response if they know they can detonate a bomb in the process.
