Mitt Romney ran against Ted Kennedy in the early 90s. He almost won. If you call a 58 to 41 wipeout, in a year when republicans had one of their greatest elections in history, almost winning.

Mitt Romney ran against Ted Kennedy in the early 90s. He almost won. Uh, no. 1994. Kennedy 58%, Romney 41%. And that in the year of the Contract With America, as well as Ted coming off the William Kennedy Smith rape fiasco.
