What I was doing in echoing the "I blame Bush" chorus was pointing out that while they were shrieking about his supposed failings those decisions that were in fact problematic occurred because he had done what the Democrats wanted.

Completely valid slap down. I think it is fair to mention lapses by previous administrations when the facts fit (Community Reinvestment Act, Fannie Mae/Mac, intelligence firewalls) but you are spot on when you highlight the fact that 9/11 changed not just the dynamics and scope of a response but incoming responsibility to review all tactics, agencies, no fly lists, etc., make changes as one can and sees fit and stand by them.
Here we have Napolitano claiming immediately that the guy was a loner with no operational support and "the system worked" (ignoring the plea by his father that should have "grounded" his son, the visa extension, Britain's refusal for entry) and now within 72 hours suddenly the system failed (Bush's fault) and two plotters are former Gitmo jailbirds back in action after being released by Bush. Surely if O and Co. were able to find out so quickly the actually plotters responsible would indicate that the "lone wolf" scenario was nothing but a lie since the most cursory review of this guy would have noted the flags now being touted by O and Co.
Again your point is one that needs to be trumpeted high and low and mentioned on any board where Libs now use the argument "well you said Bush wasn't responsible after 9 months in office so why should Obama" etc.
In the business world you get fired for that.
Just what exactly are they responsible for and what would the like to take credit for?

Additionally, he took expensive vacations never before dreamed, as a humble servant of the people and once took Air Force 1 for a joy ride over Manhattan(not that anyone noticed) he may have even hot wired Air Force 1 for his date with MO and a night on Broadway.
He once even snuck out of the White House to get a burger, like a regular Joe, with a guy named Joe.
BUT, he has never had to take responsibility for anything in his life and doesn't want his daughters punished with a baby. That would be irresponsible.
