it must be a miserable life being so easily offended. The pledge has "under God", the declaration of independence refers to a "Creator", cross symbols on church property for all to see and be offended at, our coinage "in God we trust", religious programming on tv....so many ways to be offended.
I'm among those supposedly 15% non-religious. Our society respects my right to be that way. I support others right to be religious and to display it.

I’m an atheist myself and have never been offended by “under god” being in the pledge or “in god we trust” on the money. I proudly say the whole pledge at every cub scout meeting we have.

People like Mr Barry have nothing but disdain for those who freely practice their own religion. He knows full well that the constitution’s first ammendment does not mean that the USA does not prohibit religion in government. His ilk are the same bunch that if given the chance, would create stiff tyrannical rules which would only take away our freedom.
