Four days late, Barack Obama will interrupt his Hawaii vacation and finally speak to the nation today about the Christmas Day terror attack on America. However, he will be hiding from the American people and a media that might (might) ask uncomfortable questions by releasing a taped statement rather than making a live address.
Reports are that he will tape his remarks at the nearby Marine base he has been using for his gym workouts, golfing and beach outings. Obama is staying at a $8.9 million estate that rents for an estimated $4000 per night.
The White House Web site still has not posted any statement by Obama or anyone from his administration about the attack. Late last night the administration updated WhiteHouse.gov for the first time since Christmas Eve with a statement by Obama on the passing of Percy Sutton and one by the National Security Council on the protests in Iran. But still no word on the attempted massacre of 289 innocents on Northwest Airlines flight 253.
The Obama media is parroting the Obama spin that his above-it-all response to the attack is smart strategy, yet it is actually giving the American people the idea that Obama doesn't care enough about the country to take five minutes in four days of fun in the sun to do his job.
Releasing a taped statement will only add to the appearance of distance between Obama and the American people.
No rest for him here? RIGHT!!
By First Dog I do mean the canine dog - Beau - not Michelle.
Hard tell which team he’s playing for.
LOL, maggie, ya crack me up!
Well, they are “the best”.
In all seriousness, it really is.
Just try and imagine that the day the Challenger space shuttle blew up on launch if Ronald Reagan would have waited 4 days until he commented. This Obama guy is a major loser.
It looks like they thought better of the taped message and went live. Obama looked too casual and quite bothered to be interrupting his vacation. Also, he looked like he was really missing TOTUS.
I wonder if he was naive enough to think his muslim brothers wouldn’t terrorize if he closed Gitmo, etc.
I just listened to Obama’s speech on the Hannity radio show. What struck me was not so much WHAT he was saying .. . but that it was devoid of passion and conviction. I might have missed that had I seen it live.
It’s like he’s done what his handlers told him to do .. . and now it’s off for another round of golf.
I really miss GWB.
Not ours.
There was no “heart” in Obama’s speech. They were words, just words.
I thought it was live, so I could not believe it. His prompter repeated a whole paragraph immediately and he didn't notice, just kept reading?
Now I see that it was not live but taped, so it could have been a KFI error.
Did anyone else hear that repetition?
You are 100% correct. He was just going through the motions and nothing else. No emotion at all in his voice, blank face, blah.
“Dear leader doesnt want anyone to see him vacationing in Hawaii while over 10% of the country cant find a job because of his stupid policies!”
The bare stage with a dark draped background. All an illusion, like the man himself.
They scrapped the video after jveritas exposed (and the MSM chimed in) that Al Queda supported the terrorist.
Zero knows this was no “isolated incident”.
President Barack Obama, center, walks to the tennis courts at Kailua Racquet Club in Kailua, Hawaii, Monday, Dec. 28, 2009. The Obama family is in Hawaii for the holidays.
It looks like they changed it to a live statement. I didn’t catch that he repeated a paragraph. He was reading from a script on the lecturn, not TOTUS. He looked pained by having to do this so he may very well have repeated himself.
He would look down at the podium, say a few words, then a brief glance to the left and to the right like he looking for totus and then right back down to the podium.
He looked bothered to be there instead of being out playing golf or working on his tan or doing something really important.
I think the order of the day was “Shake it, baby don’t break it!”
