SPIEGEL: Ayatollah Kadivar, what did Hossein Ali Montazeri mean to you, and what role did he play for the Iranian people?

Kadivar: He was my teacher, my spiritual guide, my father -- the most important person in my life. I studied as a young man under him when he was the Revolutionary Leader's deputy. I admired the way he fought along side Khomeini, but then also for his candid criticism of him. I cried when Khomeini repudiated him. For Iran, Grand Ayatollah Montazeri was a true beacon of light and, in the end, a spiritual leader for the green opposition.

If it does collaps, guess who’s going to try and take credit for it. Negotiations working or is it just the people in Iran getting tired of the world hating them.

Bo won’t do a damnned thing to support the protesters. He’s been handed a chance for greatness & will completely blow it, leaving the entire world a much more dangerous place than it was when he started.

More importantly, who is going to replace them?

If the protesters overthrow this regime it can only lead to a more moderate regime in the short term.

This would be very beneficial to the war on terror, the chances for stability in Iraq, and oil prices.

Good question. I just don’t want to see the GOP split to the point that we give the next election to the Democrats.

Gee, for a second there, I was hoping he was talking about the corrupt, illegal regime now infesting the District of Columbia.

At first, I thought putting in “Plugs” as his number 2 was a master stroke insurance policy for Barry. Now I’m not so sure that Biden wouldn’t be preferable to the current Pres__ent.

The key question..... It's easy to imagine that Iran would end up in chaos.

As a basis for support from the people of Iran, the 1979 revolution promised a secular democaratic style government. The tyranical mullahs immediately started to purge the reformists and that is what we have now. The reformists fate was sealed with the US Embassy takeover. The grand majority of people still hunger for the secular government they were promised and the stealing of the last election finally proved to them the current regime will not deliver on it.

There are exile groups working behind the scenes to help usher in a new system based on what they were promised in 1979.

I'm sure there are. And I'm likewise sure that there are plenty of salamikazes who are willing to blow themselves up to maximize unrest. I don't think they'll just surrender peacefully.

>>> Bo won’t do a damnned thing to support the protesters. <<<

My bet is he won't be needed. Mossad will take care of getting them weapons for a final push if necessary. Heck of a lot better way to go than bombing the nuclear sites. Saudi, maybe Egypt and Jordan may supply help also.

This will only make Obama more irrational and more irrevelant - he hates Israel and Jews in general.

Another thought: maybe we will learn that America need not stick its ham-handed diplomatic, and/or military, fingers in every hot spot on the globe.

If this results in a new more moderate Iranian regime and a calmer Middle East it will be because to surrounding countries saw what was in their interest and took action.

But I have no doubt that the Obama administration will try to take credit for any successful outcome.

I believe it will collapse, especially with all that help from the CIA and Mossad...

I know this is an evil little tyhought, but a couple of days ago, something occured to me that hadn’t really fully registered at the time of the State dinner fiasco with the party crashers.

When that all was exposed, I was right in there, saying that what happened was an inexcusable level of incompetance by the Obama Admin, that these possible terrorist/assasins got into the soiree..(I still don’t believe that any Secret Service Agent in his right mind would have let these people in, without an invitation, if they had not been told by someone they thought had the right to countermand their standing instructions..ala Obamas live in mistress that can’t be bothered to testify before Congress.

Me, citing the possibility of a pressurised container of a weaponized bio-weapon being secreted in the camera equipment they got in with them...But I digress...

What just Occurred to me a couple of days ago, was not just the fact that Obama and several VIP hangers-on could have been targetted, but who those people were, not by name, but by occupation. The POTUS, The VP, The Speaker of the House, the Senate Majority Leader...Hell, in one fell swoop, the top echelons of our government could have been wiped out. We’d have been down to at least the 4th person in order of succession, if not even farther.

That nasty little competitive devil on my shoulder began giggling, and I had to knock him off, listening to him mutter something about not being able to complain when the checks come through.... >Bo)

I know this is an evil little thought,...

Extend your theory one step further. What if that whole crew with the EXCEPTION of TOTUS was hit, or TOTUS somehow survived said attack? Couldn't you just hear the MSM blaming this on some "angry tea partier" or other anti-Obama group? And it would be a perfect segue for TOTUS and his merry band of brown shirts to clamp down further on our 2nd Amendment Rights.

Okay, takin' off my tin-foil hat for now.

HOW is it possible to determine what and/or how much either Mossad and/or the CIA are participating?

Surely, deep cover ops like this will take decades before any confirming documents see the light of day.

I'm not entirely certain that this regime will collapse, but I will not be surprised if under the cover of the massive demonstrations & civil unrest that the entire mullah nuclear programs is utterly sabotaged.

Financial and technical support on its way from the AmeriKenyan to the mullahs to promote "stability and peace"...
