are you saying he SHOULD have gone for VA money to go to BCLaw? and didn’t because of his military discharge papers?? There are hints that Harvard denied him entry into law school because he was less than honorable discharged?

IF his discharge was classed as anything but: 'other than honorable' he would have been eligible for VA Student payments (the closets I ever got to welfare LOL) It was earned at the rate of 1&1/2 of payment for every month of service. i.e. a draftee of 24 months would have gotten 36 months of payments.

One had to maintain a "C" grade or .gov wanted the money back (happened to a buddy of mine)

In that time frame it would have been something like $350 to $450 per month.

It would not have been enough for a full ride at BC, but better than nutt'n

Remember, it was published that his aunt paid his way through college.
