The proposal included the suggestion of examinations of teacher candidates on "white privilege" as well as "remedial re-education" for those who hold the "wrong" views. "Those with the 'wrong' views were to receive remedial re-education, be weeded out, or be denied admission altogether," the group said. "The first step toward 'cultural competence,' says the task group, is for future teachers to recognize and confess their own bigotry.

Alas, even after the blood purge of mid-December, many senior professors continue to embrace the concept.

I know that the Orwellian references to 1984 are probably overused, but if this does not qualify for “Big Brother,” what does? We are living in times when those in education and politics are no longer content in punishing people for “wrong” actions, but we are now punishing people for “wrong” beliefs. Who is it that decides what are “wrong” beliefs or “wrong” views? We now have *officially* sanctioned “thought police.” At what point will the majority of Americans say, “enough is enough”? What does it take to wake up this nation?
That’s a positive thing. Let’s ring in a new year of across the board salary/benefit cuts, the termination of defined benefit retirement plans and the elimination of positions and programs at State Universities. Let the defunding of the Left begin!
