Excellent point. DeMint’s a great guy (especially now), but it’s still much better to run someone already known to the country, even if they were tarred a bit by cheap shots.
Not to mention we need a strong NEW Senate MAJORITY leader to hit the ground running at 12:01 pm, 01/20/2013 when we hear the words: “I, Sarah Heath Palin, do solemnly swear that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.”
