I fly internationally about twice a year and have done so the last 10 years. These measures will do nothing.

That model is not practical given our transportation network. Time between connecting flights is too short, airports are too large, passenger needs and expectations are too varied, and most of all, the number of flights in to, out of, and throughout the US is too great.
