Don’t be too quick to rule out discrete intervention from the sole surviving pocket of freedom, justice, human dignity and decency in the Middle East.
I would not rule out the Mousaad.
Fomenting and supporting a popular uprising to overthrow the current suicidally insane regime used to be what the CIA did, back when America was still a Constitutional Republic.
Now there’s only one outfit left in this World with the skill, will, and spine to do that sort of thing - unless some of our Special Ops people are operating outside of their Pretender-in-Chief’s sphere of influence.

It would certainly be a lot better to resolve the lethal tensions in that area developing today by such a coup as opposed to a full fledged preemptive military strike, which could very well foment a nuclear World War.
Personally, I pray that Israel does have a lot to do with this - because then it will be done right and likely delivered on schedule.
If there is any official “american” gov’t involvement it will be on behalf of the ruling Islamic regime and against the Iranian people and / or Israel. I pity any corrupt US spook who crosses the Moussad though.
I don’t feel that I’ve been too quick to rule it out...I just feel that others have been too quick to jump to the conclusion that GW and his merry band of men are rampaging all over Iran right now spreading religious freedom.
I think Israel is smart enough to not engage in something that they can’t totally control. I know for a fact that Israelis are aware of the law of unintended consequences. “Better the enemy you know,” and all that rot.

Well, as long as the Israelis convene a court and have a trial to determine that my fellow citizen, the “corrupt spook,” is in fact guilty before they murder him, I guess it’s ok. And that is what “spooks” do, right? Arrest each other and have trials?
Well...like I said, I don’t mind giving free reign to foreign nationals to murder my fellow citizens as long as the foreign nationals feel they are...corrupt. Right.
