Not enough data to put suspect on no-fly list: official Photo 7:33pm EST
KAILUA, Hawaii (Reuters) - The government created a record on Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab in November 2009 in the Terrorist Identities Datamart Environment, the intelligence community's central repository of information on known and suspected international terrorists, but there was not enough negative information to put him on a no-fly list, a U.S. administration official said on Saturday.
"There was insufficient derogatory information available on the subject

But they DO have enough data to make every last flier stay in their seat the last hour before landing. Incompetent Scums.
How about pulling his VISA as the UK did?
Hmm ~ guy’s father turns him in to the “authorities” ~ that’s pretty negative in any society.
Yet they can get innocent real Americans on the list, and it’s darned near impossible to get off it once you are on it.
Jack
Agreed. When one receives a report from the father who is a chairman of the board of a large bank, one should consider this a serious source.
Preferably, the head to roll should belong to Obamao.
Ya, I was shocked that his own father had reported he was a radical Muslim. Was anything done with that information?
So now we all get to be inconvenienced further on airplanes. And the real reason is : political correctness. We are going to bend over backwards to prove to Bin Laden and Al Qaeda that EVERYONE has to stay in their seat and no books or anything in your lap.
We are bending over backward to prove to Islamic terrorists that we aren’t profiling people or discriminating in our security policies. Are we any safer for it; are we really better off for it?

Not enough data!
Sounds par for the course for this Administration. Decisions, sound ones, are hard to come by.
How about the Imams that won their law suit, are they on the no-fly list. How about the bunch a couple of weeks ago who disrupted that flight, are they on the no-fly list?
Why is it that it takes more to put a Muslim on the no fly list than anyone else.
If we arent profiling Muslims we are just plain stupid.
no-fly-list or not, how the hell did he get through the TSA cavity-and-orifice inspection?
I would like to see an airline announce No Muslims flights. See whether they lose business or gain it. My guess is, gain it. Screw PC, BTW.
Hard to tell who is in our country who means us harm, 2006 article, but still relevant:
Are over half of illegal immigrants in US Visa overstays?
The Immigration Service says of the 12 million illegals in this country, at least half entered the country legally. How could that happen?
Well, according to the Immigration Service six million illegals in this country are visa overstays. That is, they got a visa legally in their home country, they came here to visit and then they never left.
I wonder if they will put him on the list now.
Typical socialist bureaucrats : Punish the innocent.Don't want to offend the Terrorists.
All Muslims should be cavity searched;
but that is too Politically Correct.
How many more rag-head Middle Easterners do we “not have enough information on” to put on a no-fly list.
Put the whole batch of them - all of them - on a no fly, no float, no walk, or reside in, the United States list!!
Does this apply to Air Force one and two and oh yeah, Pelosi's wide body (jet)? What's good for the Goose is good for the Gander
Other than that sightseeing trip to Yemen immediately after graduation. All the kids are doing it.
Not enough data?
HOW MANY MUST DIE?
