2 Nephi 3:18 And the Lord said unto me also: I will raise up unto the fruit of thy loins; and I will make for him a spokesman. And I, behold, I will give unto him that he shall write the writing of the fruit of thy loins, unto the fruit of thy loins; and the spokesman of thy loins shall declare it.
Joseph Smith Translation Gen. 50: 27 Thus saith the Lord God of my fathers unto me, A choice seer will I raise up out of the fruit of thy loins, and he shall be esteemed highly among the fruit of thy loins; and unto him will I give commandment that he shall do a work for the fruit of thy loins, his brethren.
Joseph Smith Translation Gen. 50: 31 Wherefore the fruit of thy loins shall write, and the fruit of thy loins of Judah shall write; and that which shall be written by the fruit of thy loins, and also that which shall be written by the fruit of thy loins of Judah, shall grow together
Elephant??
WHAT elephant??
I’ve been in this room for two DAYS I don’t see no steekin’ ELEPHANT!!
I have learned for myself that Presbyterianism is not true.
17 It no sooner appeared than I found myself delivered from the enemy which held me bound. When the light rested upon me I saw two Personages, whose brightness and glory defy all description, standing above me in the air. One of them spake unto me, calling me by name and said, pointing to the otherThis is My Beloved Son. Hear Him!
18 My object in going to inquire of the Lord was to know which of all the sects was right, that I might know which to join. No sooner, therefore, did I get possession of myself, so as to be able to speak, than I asked the Personages who stood above me in the light, which of all the sects was right (for at this time it had never entered into my heart that all were wrong)and which I should join.
19 I was answered that I must join none of them, for they were all wrong; and the Personage who addressed me said that all their creeds were an abomination in his sight; that those professors were all corrupt; that: they draw near to me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me, they teach for doctrines the commandments of men, having a form of godliness, but they deny the power thereof.
20 He again forbade me to join with any of them; and many other things did he say unto me, which I cannot write at this time. When I came to myself again, I found myself lying on my back, looking up into heaven. When the light had departed, I had no strength; but soon recovering in some degree, I went home. And as I leaned up to the fireplace, mother inquired what the matter was. I replied, Never mind, all is wellI am well enough off. I then said to my mother,
Ah!
That makes it all better then.
The Leader In Me
Dang!
I thought this was a book written by one of the escapees from the fLDS compound in TEXAS.
OUCH!
Watch out for SHINGLES later on - no fun either!
That's ok; we can take it.
We are here to educate lurkers.
Keep feeding us straight lines...
Maybe still working on that TESTIMONY.
That's a PUBLIC school mission statement!
They didn’t GET the point; obviously...
The Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter-day Saints
HMMmmm...
That has the same problem.
"Why do you call me, Lord, Lord, and do not what I say?"
And yet you STILL won't bite and waste your time trying to DEFEND it!
--MormonDude(What are you afraid of? HMMmmm...?)
It's the lament of a child; not getting it's way.
They just KNOW that you HATE them because you will not do such-and-such.
Now then: can any MORMON reading this plaque in Temple Square® show us just WHERE in the BoM the FULLNESS of the GOSPEL can be found?
Covey’s principles are taught in secular as well as religious circles. Nothing dangerous.
Thank GOD!!!

The gospel I LIVE IS the ONE in the BIBLE! If you want me to believe otherwise, show me what I should believe, not what I shouldn’t believe. Show me what you believe are saving truths and not what you believe are damning lies.
Personally, I don’t think you can and, if you can, I don’t think you have any desire to do so. It seems to me that you have found that it’s easier to destroy than to build up. I could be wrong, but that is all I have ever seen you do in the threads I have read.
Elsie: “Why do you call me, Lord, Lord, and do not what I say?”
Lynn: It wise to take ones own advice Elsie. I think all Christians, bad or good, should follow that advice.
Oh, and here is another good scripture: “Do unto others as you would have them do to you”. Luke 6:31
I am so glad that you treat me with the true love of Christ and not hiding your light under some bushel. Wait....I haven’t seen that light yet from you, all I’ve seen is anger and bitterness, but I am hoping to see that light.
BTW, just to let you know, many of the Evangelicals that live around me and work with me have told me repeatedly that I am a good Christian and they told me that since I moved to where I currently am over thirty years ago, including a Southern Baptist preacher who was my immediate neighbor for many years and they all know I’m LDS-Christian. I could see the light that Christ had given them because they told me what they believed in true love and caring.
Even some of those who insist that I’m not Christian don’t tell me why I’m wrong, but they tell me why they’re right and they tell me that they pray for me all the time and I thank them very much for being true Christians.
You know, it’s that old net vs. trident thingie.

Christ himself declared the fulness of his gospel: "For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me. And this is the Father's will , that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life; and I will raise him up at the last day" (John 6:38-40).
Latter-day Saints believe that every prophet, from whatever dispensation, prophesied of Christ. But the phrase fulness of the gospel implies that periods have occurred when the gospel was not on the earth in its fulness, either in doctrine or in ordinance. The Book of Mormon was described by a heavenly messenger to Joseph Smith in 1820 as "giving an account of the former inhabitants of this continent," and "the fulness of the everlasting Gospel was contained in it, as delivered by the Savior" (JSH 1:34).
President Ezra Taft Benson explains: "The Book of Mormon contains the fulness of the gospel of Jesus Christ (D&C 20:9). That does not mean it contains every teaching, every doctrine ever revealed. Rather, it means that in the Book of Mormon we will find the fulness of those doctrines required for our salvation. And they are taught plainly and simply so that even children can learn the ways of salvation and exaltation" (Benson, pp. 18-19).
Nephi, a Book of Mormon prophet living centuries before the coming of Christ, indicated that the fulness of the gospel would not always be on the earth. In a vision of the Lord's future ministry, he saw that parts of the gospel would be altered and tampered with. Nephi wrote, speaking of the Bible, "When it proceeded forth from the mouth of a Jew it contained the fulness of the gospel of the Lord, of whom the Twelve apostles bear record." But men have taken away from the Bible "many parts which are plain and most precious; and also many covenants of the Lord have they taken away," which resulted in a loss of the gospel (cf. 1 Ne. 13:24-29).
So basically, what it boils down to is this the fulness of those doctrines required for our salvation.
I also believe that the Bible has the fulness of the gospel in it, but do you believe it?
What is your definition for "fulness of the gospel?"
