Yep, and unless the flight is to a city on the coast, people on the ground are still going to have to dodge falling debris.
>>Air Canada said it was limiting passengers to one carryon bag in response to a request from the U.S. and Canadian governments.<<
Right. . .just an excuse to make you check another bag and pay an extra fee.
What about us W/M 50’ish business travelerrs that pack light, have a small roll-on, never check a bag, and have a computer briefcase. . .are we to now just carry on the computer?
They are nuts to go this way, absolutely nuts. All they are doing is pissing off the public, especially the business flying public that really make the bucks for an airline. I’m gonna puke if I hear another once-a-year flyer comment; “Gee, isn’t all this security wonderful. It makes flying so much safer.”
Given only one bag, I’m not going (and saving nearly 100k per year in ticket prices). . .and I’m just one business class traveler. WebEx and telecons are better than the insanity of the airlines and the idiocy of the TSA brain-dead dolts.
See if you can survive on those $200 visiting-granny once a year tickets.
Airlines and TSA are garbage and fools.
My current policy is that I stop drinking an hour before I fly, and I empty my bladder before boarding. I hate using the “restroom” on airplanes anyway. But is it really true that I can’t have a BOOK to read for the last hour???
Here is an idea: lets promote the thought that (for those that HAVE to fly) upon deplaning, every one of our seats WILL be wet (can be anything of course).
Our #1 Muslim enemy is the one who sits in the White House.
Well, I see TSA has gotten right to the root of the problem. Bathrooms.
Sheesh, what a bunch of idiots.
This is what Eric Holder comes up with ? Another regulation, another rule, another restriction on your freedom.. all under the guise of ‘for YOUR good’. They won’t recognize Islamofascism, they wont conduct the war on terror.. but they will do everything they can to take your freedoms away, little by little.
Guess I better sell my airline stocks then
All muslims entering the US would be on segregated airlines with Halal food and a remote detonation device if the plane is taken over.
And wouldn’t it create more terror if its mid-ocean and no meaningful investigation or rescue can take place.
But it still points out the lack of brains our leaders are employing. Think about it people....govt. doesn't know to solve the simpleist of problems.
This rule makes no sense in response to the recent terrorist attack.
The guy was in his seat when he tried to detonate his explosives.
I get the feeling the government knows a lot more than they are letting on. Perhaps they know of other pending attacks and their MO’s.
I believe we should all send a nice little note like this regardless to our elected officials...
And when the airlines begin to crater again for the reduction in patronage because of these rediculous rules, then I don’t want to hear a frappin’ word about bailouts or other incentives to save an industry that actually implements these stupid rules...
All this means is that the terrorists will now do their deal at the beginning of the flight...
Thats what I would do...
Absolute idiots we have running this show these days...
Yep...
Yep, and the reduced revenue from lack of ticket sales will be another case where the airline industry will ask for a bailout because of the criticality of their industry...
I would say no...You will not get a bailout, until we get smarter people in Congress, the Senate and the WH...
Which may never happen, due to the large precentage of stupid people voting them into office...
But again, what do I know...;-)
A better idea would be to keep the bastards off airplanes.
I am still loving the “ allegedly attempted to start a fire” by the alleged Nigerian national living in London, who also allegedly lived in Houston, who also allegedly boarded the flight with NO alleged passport for his alleged flight to Detroit...
Is there anything that can be confirmed at this point, or ever???
What free beverages??? ;-)
Everybody strips, dons airline and government approved hospital type gowns, no carry on luggage...
We are getting really close to that now...
