He probably breaks merchandise of that value every year. And since UPSucks has that clever little rule, “You have to sign before you open. Yes, that signature means that you agree that everything inside is OK. But you have to sign, then open, then if you find something broken, it’s too late.” And good luck collecting an insurance claim from UPSucks.

I once shipped a computer via UPS that arrived with internal damage. They balked at paying the insured value until I told them that I shipped it on a corporate account that shipped hundreds of packages a day and Fed-Ex was calling.
