Saul Alinsky is dead. One does imagine Chris Matthews encounters him frequently in his seances.

Fact is, Saul Alinsky was born in 1902 in Chicago and he died and was buried in Carmel California in 1972

Saul Alinsky is generally considered to be the founder of modern community organizing. Alinsky is often credited with laying the foundation for the grassroots political organizing that dominated the 1960s. Jack Newfield writing in New York Magazine included Alinsky among “the purest avatars of the [populist] movement,” along with Ralph Nader, Cesar Chavez, and Jesse Jackson.
