Way back in the early 70's, I was shot at (close range from carload blk guys hanging out car window) in an unsuccessful robbery attempt (I wasn't about to give him my money). ALV-615, still remember the license plate. I've never been unarmed since and probably won't ever have that type incident ever occur again as (I live in rural Alaska no blks); but I know what I will do if it ever does happen again. So it does foster racism in people as would be expected.

I've also lived in Indian Villages where I was the only White Boy, reverse racism of sorts and it does one good, being the hated minority for a year or so. I would never view Indians in a negative light, because I began to see the good in their society too; understand their culture. It was a good experience.
