I have flown across the Atlantic ocean more than 20 times since 9-11, and I would act with extreme prejudice against a jihadist, given the chance. So would the vast majority of passengers. You singled out Americans, and we (here, at FR) don’t like it.
“Smear on Americans”? What a joke. The Americans whose opinions on such matters I care about are those who fought and bled and died on foreign shores to preserve our freedoms. I suspect they would be similarly amused by the armchair keyboard commandos whose only “combat” experience is the apparently traumatic experience of having someone question their gung-ho false presumptions.
