Arkansas police are searching for two men who shot and killed a Salvation Army major Christmas Eve outside the organization’s community center in North Little Rock as his three young children looked on.
Pulaski County Coroner Garland Camper said two men accosted Philip Wise and his children — ages, 4, 6 and 8 — about 4 p.m. Thursday. He says one man pulled a gun, demanded money and then shot Wise.
Wise's wife, Cindy, also a major in the Salvation Army, was inside the center and called 911.

I hope Fox News is not just now reporting about it. At Fox’s site, it doesn’t give the time the article was written, just Dec. 25th. But the man was killed yesterday afternoon around 4 pm. It was on the internet news last night.
Haven’t visited Fox News site today until just now, so maybe they have had the story posted all day.
This crap makes me angry beyond words. To gun a guy down in front of his family for a bucket of dollar bills...

For innocent bystanders and people serving their God by helping their fellow man, yes. I don't know if they do for criminals that kill people...sad commentary.

This is no more likely to happen than the oft worried about backlashes against Muslims, or the non existent frenzies of pro-life Christians killing abortionists.
African Americans need to backlash against their own scum.

This is a horrifying event. There’s no justice for this kind of depravity.

I knew Phillip Wise. He was a good good man. He is in heaven right now. My heart breaks for his children and bride.
I heard the people who robbed him were black and that is a tragedy in itself. The chances are great that the general public, through the service on Major Wise and folks like him, probably provided some sort of financial assistance to the perps when they were younger.
This situation reminds me to be thankful for The Salvation Army. They are the real front lines in the war on poverty. We citizens in the US respect the Army and believe in them. They do God's work in our name. I will support them even more than I have before.
As to vengeance, please know that Major Wise would have forgiven the one who murdered him, immediately. I know it is hard to fathom but that is what a Christian does.
It will be rough for a few decades, perhaps even a century. At least until those that have conquered the whites decide there are more interesting things to do besides killing us for amusement. As the Gaul said to the Roman: “Woe to the conquered!”
