The Taliban released a video Friday showing a U.S. soldier who was captured more than five months ago in eastern Afghanistan.

Pfc. Bowe Bergdahl is the only known American serviceman in captivity. The U.S. airborne infantryman was taken by the Afghan Taliban in Paktika province on June 30.

Five Months? I try to keep up with the news, however, I haven’t heard a single word about a US soldier being held captive by the Taliban.

How in the world can the US media and Govt FAIL miserably to keep up the visibility of an American soldier held by terrorists?

Oh, I forgot...this happened under FUBO’s reign...

Is this the same soldier who walked off his post unarmed and joined some Afghani’s?

“On July 2, two U.S. officials told the AP the soldier had “just walked off” his base with three Afghans after his shift. He had no body armor or weapon and they said they had no explanation for why he left. The officials spoke on the condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the case.

On July 6, the Taliban claimed on their Web site that five days earlier “a drunken American soldier had come out of his garrison” and was captured by mujahadeen.”

I notice no pictures of Obama, just Bush and Cheney. Plus the pictures of prisoner mistreatment at Abu Gharib. This tape just reinforces the crap put out by the WH about the US. I wonder how old it is.

Ahhh...good post. May be a guy who simply walked across, and then they decided he wasn’t worth it.

I didn't see the video, all I saw was the picture in his combat outfit and sunglasses. Can anyone tell me if he was who they claim he is, was he alive. Assuming it to be a true video, it is meaningless to me for the simple reason that a person will break down mentally soon after being taken captive(except mccain that is). This video is just a knife in the heart to his parents and others who loved him.

I’m shocked that the Taliban would violate the Geneva Convention this way. Obama must be heartbroken.
