I’m pretty envious of you, I was asked to join a team in gas turbine land based generator design back in 1983, I was too young and declined and thus I am but a simple heavy equipment mechanic now.

Heavy Mechanic sounds like good work, probably tough work though. I get to sit in a little box (cubicle)all day with my headphones on:)I have been a design contractor for 28 yrs now, and I always declined direct positions myself. The reason being that if ya stay in one spot ya only learn one design software program. To stay competitive I always jumped around shops. You also get to meet a lot of new people from other countries that work automotive. Merry Christmas, and a good New Year!
